Avocet® is a systemic aquatic herbicide that is 53.8% glyphosate approved for aquatic use. It provides excellent control of emergent weeds in all bodies of water.
Avocet is my favorite product to use for cattails, phragmites, and pretty much all shoreline weeds! It also controls many emergent and floating aquatic plants, plus terrestrial and ditchbank woody brush, grasses and weeds.
Use it as a broadcast spray, wick/wiper, cut-stump treatments, or inject and frill applications on nuisance woody brush. I will typically mix 1 quart of Avocet with 8 gallons of water and 8 oz of cygnet spray adjuvant to treat 16,000 square feet for most of my applications.
Avocet has no water use restrictions. Just only spray it directly onto the vegetation you want dead.
